Review - Ringside Maisie
I'm not quite sure just how Ann Sothern makes these formulaic movies so enjoyable just by playing Maisie the way she does, but their fun to watch.

| Description: | Maisie Ravier (Ann Sothern) is out of work again and stranded on the road. She meets up with boxer Terry Dolan (Robert Sterling) who offers to take her back home. But his trainer, Skeets (George Murphy) won't let Terry take off from training. Maisie gets a job as nurse/companion to Terry's mother. Skeets warms up to her and they begin dating. But when Terry confesses to Maisie that he no longer wants to box but just wants to open a grocery story, Skeets won't let him out of his contract. In his next fight, Terry is blinded. Skeets flies to Boston to get a specialist doctor who fixes Terry. Skeets sets him up in the grocery business and all is well between Skeets and Maisie. |
