| Description: | Poor artist Bob Graham (Robert Montgomery) meets society heiress Julie Stoddard (Rosalind Russell). She's impressed by his honesty and marries him. They live poorly and happily, usually in the company of Oscar (Robert Benchley), Bob's friend. But then Bob has a showing and makes it big. He begins painting portraits of the rich and worrying more about money than truth. Julie hates it and threatens to leave him. Bob struggles to get back to the kind of painting he once did and finds it difficult, but finally manages, with the help Julie and Oscar. |
