| Description: | Burlesque producer Mike Hannegan (Dennis O'Keefe) wants to make a Broadway star of his girlfriend, Mary Carroll (Vivian Blaine), who is also the star of his show. He hires Fred Gerard as a ghost writer to write her story. Fred falls for Mary and Mike gets jealous. When Fred and Mary get stranded, Mike assumes the worst and makes accusations. Mary goes off to make a Broadway show, thanks to the fame from her book. Mike tries to apologize but she won't talk to him. He pulls out an old contract and puts a stop to the show—until Mary agrees to listen. They get back together and the show goes on. |
