Description:Maisie (Ann Sothern) works her way west to get a job in a airplane factory during the war. She meets test pilot Breezy (Jamaes Craig), and at first they don't get along. Maisie's roommate Iris (Jean Rogers), is a conniving jerk who steals Breezy from Maisie. When Maisie lets Iris know that she's going to tell Breezy what Iris is really like, Iris reports Maisie as a saboteur. Maisie manages to get the word to Breezy and stop him from marrying Iris, so he comes back and proposes to Maisie after she's been cleared to go back to work

Review - Swing Shift Maisie

The weakest of the Maisie movies so far. The bit about Breezy claiming that he and the two roommates were a family was just weird. Iris's character was so grating that nobody could possibly care for her. There's no explanation for why Maisie was able to clear her name so suddenly. And it didn't give Sothern a chance to show her sass.
