| Description: | A year of racing on the Grand Prix circuit. American Pete Aron (James Garner) gets into an accident with his teammate's car at Monaco and gets fired from his team even though it wasn't his fault. He joins a Japanese team, has a fling with his partner's wife Pat (Jessica Walter), and wins the championship. Jean-Pierre Sarti (Yves Montand) is the reigning champ. He has an affair with journalist Louise (Eva Marie Saint) and is killed during he final race. Scott Stoddard (Brian Bedord) recovers from the injury sustained in the crass with Pete, gets back together with Pat, and comes in second overall. |
