Description:On the eve of his wedding to a showgirl, playbook Charlie (Fred Astaire) sees temperance worker Angela (Vera-Ellen) and immediately falls in love and begins walking on air. He skips his wedding and pursues Angela, but she insists that he reform first. He tries, but comes to the conclusion that he's not good enough for her. To win him back, Angela pretends to be bad and goes to a casino. There's confusion and a fight, but in the end Charlie and Angela walk off on air together.

Review - Belle of New York, The

Some of the dance numbers showcased Astaire and Vera-Ellen's talents well, but they all seemed very similar. None of the song numbers moved me much. The plot was stupid. Pretty forgettable all around.
