Pretty good plot, good characters—Walter Brennan is along as a small ranch owner who helps Jim in the end. Kept my interest all the way through.

| Description: | Jim Geary (Robert Mitchum) is hired by his old buddy Tate (Robert Preston) to help him in a range war. Tate is attempting to force rancher Lufton to sell his herd to Tate so Tate can turn around and sell it to the Army for a huge profit. And Tate has convinced the local ranchers that it's in their best interest to take his side. Jim meets Lufton's daughter Amy (Barbara Bel Geddes) and soon realizes he's on the wrong side of the fight. He breaks with Tate and joins with Lufton, eventually managing to turn the tables on the bad guys, kill Tate, and marry Amy. |
