| Description: | Coctail waitress Sunny (Goldie Hawn) happens to be in the right spot to thwart an assassination attempt on the emir of an Arab country. Her candid charm makes her a national hero. The emir offers the U.S. a strategic military base in his country in exchange for Sunny, whom he plans to make one of his wives. Sunny is recruited in the Protocol department and makes a mess of things. She naively goes home with the emir where she finally figures out that she's been a pawn. The emir's people, upset with the deal, stage a revolution. Sunny makes it back to the U.S., testifies before congress on behalf of the American people, and runs for Congress. |
