Description:Features Warner Brothers' top stars singing and dancing in a wartime variety show. The movie actually was used to raise money for the Hollywood Canteen. The plot, such as it is, has Eddie Cantor taking over and ruining the show. The producers have him kidnapped and he runs around getting into all sorts of predicaments. Meanwhile, a tour bus driver (also Eddie Cantor) impersonates Cantor and gets aspiring actor Tommy (Dennis Morgan) a part in the show. Joan Leslie gets a lot of screen time as a friend of the bus driver and Tommy.

Review - Thank Your Lucky Stars

You don't watch these ensemble movies for their plots. This one was duller than most, with a lot of ballads by Dinah Shore and a lot of campy overacting by Cantor. Bogart had an 80 second walk on (I guess he couldn't sing or dance). Stars who appeared in numbers included Bette Davis (who had the best song of the bunch—the rest were forgettable), Errol Flynn, Ann Sheridan and many others.
