| Description: | A musical troop led by Hap (Phil Silvers) and Candy (Doris Day) are stranded in Miami, washing dishes at a hotel. Broadway songwriter Dick Carson (Robert Cummings) is at the hotel trying to find a backer for his show. He meets Candy and falls in love, but his girlfriend Lorraine is the daughter of Thayer, the man Dick wants to back the show. There's all sorts of back and forth and confusion until, finally, the troop crashes Thayer's birthday party and puts on a song. Lorraine tries to stop things, but Thayer is convinced to back the show and Candy and Dick end up together. |
