| Description: | When David Sloane (Dean Martin) discovers that his friend Harry Hunter (Eli Wallach) is having an affair, he decides to save Harry's marriage by making his mistress a better offer. But David, through misunderstanding, picks the wrong girl, ending up with Carol (Stella Stevens), who sincerely loves David. Harry thinks his mistress, Muriel, is cheating with David. He dumps her and goes back to his wife, but she turns out to be truly horrid. David realizes he's picked the wrong woman, but Carol, now knowing she's been manipulated, goes to great lengths to ruin David's life. Harry, now divorced, asks Muriel to marry him. Carol wants the same from David, but only so she can divorce him—a divorcee being more socially acceptable than a dumped mistress. So to get rid of Carol, David has to marry her. And, of course, they decide to stay married. |
