| Description: | Joseph Tura (Jack Benny) is the head of a theater group in Warsaw at the beginning of WWII. His wife Maria (Carole Lombard), also an actor, is carrying on a harmless flirtation with flyer Stanislav (Robert Stack) who leaves the theater and joins her in her dressing room every night when Joseph does the soliloquy from Hamlet. When the war begins, Stanislav flees to England and joins the RAF. He finds out that a Professor Siletsky is flying back to Poland with the names of all the Polish underground. Stanislav flies back to stop him, but has to hide out at the Tura's house. The rest of the movie involves Joseph impersonating various Nazi officials to get Siletsky's information before the Nazis get it, and then to get him and his theater troop out of Poland. |
