Description:Three women join the WACs during WWII. Leigh Rand (Laraine Day) is an Army brat who thinks she knows everything. Valerie Parks (Lana Turner) is a glamour girl who joins to improve her reputation so she can inherit a large amount of money. Ann Darrison (Susan Peters) is the wife of a soldier who wants to contribute to the war effort. Rand and Parks don't get along from the start, and Ann is always having to be the go-between. Our of jealousy, because she can't stand having the party girl be a better soldier, Rand rides Parks until she lashes out, then puts her on report. The commanding officer (Agnes Moorehead) tells them both they're at fault, but allows them to become officers because the finally learn their lesson when the realized what they've done to each other and when the find out that Ann's husband has been killed.

Review - Keep Your Powder Dry

Typical war-time propaganda, but with a little less preaching than usual and with actual talented actresses. I'm not a huge fan of Turner or Day. Susan Peters I didn't know. Turns out she was a rising star after just a few movies, but shortly after this one was made she was injured in a hunting accident, became a recluse and starved herself to death at 31.
