Description:Secretary Ellen (Paula Raymond) is in love with her boss Douglas (John Lund), but he pays no attention to her. Ellen's roommate Chris (Esther Williams) comes up with a scheme—she'll go to Idaho and flirt with Douglas which will make him somehow realize that he loves Ellen. But on the way, Chris meets bandleader Dick (Van Johnson). She likes him, but she has to pretend to like Douglas, which gets Dick confused and jealous. After lots of nonsensical confusion, everyone ends up with their true loves.

Review - Duchess of Idaho

Silly. Another comedy full of situations that couldn't exist if people said what they mean and listen to other people. There were musical numbers scattered throughout, and a couple dull scenes with Esther Williams swimming in some sort of still stage show.
