Description:Henry Sharon (Harry Davenport) owns racehorses, but never wins. He doesn't realize that he's been victimized by Lew Ralston, another owner who has designs on Henry's niece Martha (Marsha Hunt). Another owner, Jeff Clayton (Gordon Jones), a good friend of Henry's, is injured when he saves Martha from being hit by a truck and retires to a ranch in Arizona. When Henry is out of money and down to one horse (Certified Check), he fakes his own death, releases his horse into the wild while, at the same time, leaving it to Martha and Jeff in his will. (This part of the movie made zero sense.). Jeff finds the horse, teams up with Martha, fakes Ralston into betting all his money on the wrong horse, and wins a big race. Jeff and Martha end up together.

Review - Long Shot

Some likeable characters can't save a nonsensical plot. Why on earth Henry released his last horse into the wild and then willed it to his niece ... The stock footage that was used for the races didn't line up at all with what the narration said was happening, and the same scenes were used over and over.
