Description:Frank Harper (Rory Calhoun) comes up with an idea to rob a bank for a million dollars. He connects with gangster Flood (James Gregory) who develops a plan and brings in several other hoods. Part of the plan (which didn't really make much sense) was to establish Frank in town with Flood's girl, Kay (Mary Costa) as a married couple who buy a nice house and a gas station. Over the months, Frank and Kay fall for each other and the station begins making a profit. As the crime nears, the gang gathers. Flood gets wind that Kay's loyalty has shifted to Frank. Frank and Kay find out that part of Flood's plan endangers a group of kids and set out to stop it. Flood gets the money and plans to run off with it, but Flood stops him and calls the cops. He realizes he and Kay will probably be arrested as abettors, but their months together have changed them, and they're determined to go straight.

Review - Big Capter, The

The reason for Frank and Kay to live together as man and wife for four months doesn't make any sense, but it was the most interesting part of the movie. There are tons of loose ends—we don't know what happens to most of the gang.
