I don't know why I didn't like this better. The characters were good but it just seemed to scratch the surface and never really amount to much.

| Description: | Millionairess Cornelia Wheelwright discovers that her father got his wealth by cheating his business partner. She wants to make up for it, so she has her lawyer, James Amory (Jeffrey Lynn) find the only living relative of the cheated partner—shop girl Pamela McAllister (Priscilla Lane). Amory gives Priscilla $million. At first she's thrilled, but her boyfriend, composer wanna-be Peter Rowan (Ronald Reagan) doesn't want success handed to him—he wants to earn it. He leaves Priscilla to join a band. Meanwhile, Cornelia determines to teach Priscilla how to be a member of the upper class. Amory falls for her and proposes, but Priscilla pines for Peter. She pays an orchestra to play his composition, and its a total flop. But meanwhile, many of the songs Peter writes for the band become hits. He's offered a steady job playing with the band. Priscilla gives away all her money and joins him on the road. |
