Review - Too Many Wives
Painfully nonsensical. Anne Shirley was cute, but not cute enough to save this dog.

| Description: | Barry Trent (John Morley) works at a newspaper as a fall guy, taking the blame when anyone complains about what's printed. He meets Betty Jackson (Anne Shirley), and they fall in love. But when her father has a complaint against the newspaper and demands that Barry is fired, his boss claims Barry is married and needs the money. Betty gets upset, but Barry soon straightens her out. Then Betty's other boyfriend pays a secretary $1,000 to say she's Barry's wife. Again, Betty believes the lie and elopes with the other boyfriend. Barry follows and stops the wedding just in time, then marries Betty instead (even though she constantly refuses to believe him). There's a bunch of nonsense about a missing stamp that brings in the police. The stamp spent half the movie in a dogs mouth but was recovered uninjured somehow. |
