| Description: | Pete (Eddie Bracken) and Nancy (Priscilla Lane) discover each other on a beach, broke and without prospects. They decide to pretend they're rich and see how far they get. The come up with fancy names, make wild promises, and hobnob with wealthy people. Before the day is over, they have a suite at a fancy hotel and have an offer of a high-paying job. Pete falls for Nancy, but realizes that everything he has to offer is just a pipe dream, so he steps out of the picture so she can marry one of the rich guys they met who has shown an interest in her. But she's interested in Pete after all. She throws over the rich guy to marry Pete. Now that they know what they're capable of, the decide to go legit and make over a local hotdog stand into a fancy restaurant. |
