Description:Three old men, bored and lonely on Christmas Eve, on a whim throw three wallets out their window to see if anyone returns them. Two are returned, by James Houston (Richard Carlson) and Jean Lawrence (Jean Parker). The three men invite them to dinner, along with their housekeeper (who used to be a Russian countess). They all become fast friends, and James and Jean fall in love. When all is going swimmingly, the three men die in a plane crash. They leave a large sum of money to James and Jean. The story gets out, leads to an invite to a radio program, and soon James is singing on the radio and becoming a big hit. He meets actress Arlene Terry, and she draws James away from Jean and soon has him running off with her. The three old men return as ghosts and do what they can to stop James' ruin. But it's only after he's shot by Arlene's ex-husband and almost dies that one of the old men convinces God to send James back to Jean.

Review - Beyond Tomorrow

Started out as a sappy but sweet feel-good Christmas movie, but then, after the three men die, becomes a dreary morality play about fame and loose women. Minutes at a time are wasted showing slow-motion shots of the three old men being called into eternity. The theology could hardly be more messed up.
