Description:Col. Steve Janowski (Robert Mitchum) is in Korea when the war begins. Linda Day (Ann Blyth) is a nurse with the U.N. forces and refuses to leave. Steve grabs her and forces her to board a plane just before the building she was in is blown up. Steve goes to the front and is wounded. He is sent to Japan to recuperate and meets Linda. They fall in love, but Linda doesn't want to get married because she lost her first husband in WWII. Steve goes back to the front and has to make the difficult decision to bomb a group of refugees because the enemy has infiltrated and is using them to get behind U.N. lines. Linda finds out and gets angry but soon realizes Steve had no choice. Steve's unit is surrounded and almost wiped out. Only four men are left when help finally arrives. He meets Linda, who now decides she wants to marry him.

Review - One Minute to Zero

The scene where Janowski had to bomb the refugees was powerful, and based on real events. The rest of the movie, including the love between Steve and Linda, was weirdly emotionless. Everyone acted like they were attending a boring committee meeting when they were actually fighting a battle and seeing their friends killed.
