Description:Dave Wyman (Frankie Vaughan) is a member of a gang in Liverpool. He sings and wins a talent contest, narrowly beating out Dinah (Carole Lesley). He insists on sharing the prize money with her, but before anything can come of it, Dave is drafted. It takes him a while to conform to army life, and when another soldier is killed in a brawl, Dave is blamed. He takes off, eventually heading to Dinah's house. She believes in his innocent and lets him hide out there. An army padre also believes in Dave. He tracks him down and encourages him to give himself up. Dave agrees to do it, and before his trial, another soldier comes forward with evidence that clears him. Dave decides to make a career of the army -- after he takes a week off to propose to and marry Dinah.

Review - Dangerous Youth

Billed as a musical, but there are only two songs at the very beginning. The plot isn't much, but the young British actors were sincere and carried my interest. Dinah's roommate was played by Jocelyn Lane, which has to be some sort of record for best looks in a single apartment.
