Description:When the administrators of Wyndham Girl's College discover that student Terry Taylor (Mary Ann Mobley) is writing pop songs, they are scandalized. They decide to wait until after break to decide whether to expel her, and they make her promise to stay away from men on her trip to Sun Valley. Senator Morrison, grandson of the school founder, goes to Sun Valley to see for himself what the morals of modern college kids are. Terry's record producer shows up and tries to get her to pose for some publicity photos, but she refuses—until she gets stuck in the snow while skiing and he kisses her. Meanwhile, the senator decides teens are pretty hip. He dances with Terry, his pants fall down, and he gets his photo in the paper. At first he thinks his campaign is over, but then decides to host a concert and get the college vote. The college administrators quit, which allows Terry to graduate.

Review - Get Yourself a College Girl

As nonsensical as it sounds. there were some popular singing groups along for the ride— The Dave Clark Five and the Animals, to mention a couple, but their lip-syncing was awful and they didn't sing well-known songs. The woman who did The Girl from Ipanema did a good job. If Hollywood thought this was what college students were like in 1964, they were misinformed.
