Description:The British government wants to send diamonds to a sheik. They call in former thief, Modesty Blaise (Monica Vitti) to make the transfer, and she calls in her friend Willie (Terence Stamp). But it's all a distraction—the diamonds are being sent by ship. Modesty's nemesis Gabriel (Dirk Bogarde) figures out where the diamonds are and steals them. Modesty and Willie follow, get captured, but escape with the diamonds—and bring them to the sheik.

Review - Modesty Blaise

It's a good look at the weird 60's British pop vibe, but other than that it was a disconnected mess that made little sense and gave me little reason to try to make sense out of it. Vitti didn't look like a master spy—in fact, in her fight scenes, she looked like a housewife fighting over bargains at a flea market. She changed her clothes constantly—even in captivity, and her hair kept changing from blonde to dark. Bogarde's villain looked bored and irritable, but certainly never dangerous.
