Description:Barry Egan (Adam Sandler) is a social misfit who owns a bathroom supply company. His seven sisters tease him, and he takes it docilely until he flips out and starts punching things. Lena (Emily Watson) works with one of Barry's sisters and wants to meet him. Through awkward fits and starts, they get together. Meanwhile, a call that Barry made results in extortion, with four men harassing him, demanding money, and threatening to ruin his life. Barry deals with this by going to Utah and confronting the guy who's doing the extorting and explaining that he's madly in love, which somehow takes care of things.

Review - Punch-Drunk Love

Nobody to root for here. Barry is too odd to sympathize with. Lena's affection for him makes no sense. She's pretty, successful, and would run from him in real life. Barry could never be trusted because there's no way to know when he's going to get mad and punch things. I had a hard time watching all the way through.
