Description:When newspaper mogul Judson Blair (Edward Arnold) loses big in a divorce settlement, he decides to get even with the judge, Cornelia Porter (Rosalind Russell). He sends conniving reporter Jeff Sherman (Walter Pidgeon) to follow Cornelia on vacation and involve her in a scandal. The problem is that, while getting Cornelia to fall for him, Jeff falls for her. When Cornelia finds out what's going on, she sues Jeff and Judson for tampering. Jeff defends himself in court, testifies to his love for Cornelia, and gets her, under oath, to admit that she loves him.

Some good dialogue and funny bits, although Pidgeon was woefully miscast as a lover. Russell was pretty good in her role. The last half hour, involving the court scene, just got silly.
