Description:Harry Archer (William Hudson) wants to have his wife Nancy (Allison Hayes) committed to an asylum so he can take up with his girlfriend Honey (Yvette Vickers). He thinks he has a chance when Nancy comes crying into town about a giant spaceship. At Nancy's insistence, Harry drives her out into the desert to look for it. They find it, and when a giant alien grabs Nancy, Harry hightails it back to town and goes dancing (really). Nancy shows up a few hours later, unconscious and not wearing much. The doctor puts her to bed, but soon she grows to giant size. She breaks out of the house, goes to town, kills Honey and Harry, and then is killed when the sheriff shoots an electrical tower next to where she is standing.

Review - Attack of the 50 Foot Woman

I wouldn't have wanted it to go on much longer, but it was entertainingly bad. The cinematography wasn't terrible, but the special effects were. When Nancy is shown as a giant, it's obviously either on a back screen or standing next to models. Otherwise, we just see her hand, which changes dramatically in size from scene to scene and looks like it's made of cardboard. One thing in particular I wouldn't have like to hear more about is how they managed to put a 50-foot woman to bed in a 15-foot bedroom.
