| Description: | In the dystopian future (2022), the population of the world is starving. NYC policeman Thorn (Charlton Heston) investigates the murder of a wealthy man of privilege. With the help of his friend Sol (Edward G. Robinson), he finds out the man was an executive of the Soylant Corporation which provides food for the masses. He has a fling with Shirl (Leigh Taylor-Young), the mistress of the murdered man. Thorn soon realizes that people are after him, led by Tab (Chuck Connors). Sol finds out that Soylant is made from dead humans. Thorn investigates and discovers that it's true. He tries to spread the word, but he is shot before he can find anyone who cares. |
