Description:Cliff Harper (Guy Madison) comes home from WWII irritable and restless. He meets Pat (Dorothy McGuire), a somewhat older war widow, and they begin dating. Cliff's Marine buddy William (Robert Mitchum) has a metal plate in his head from a war injury. He wants to buy a ranch in New Mexico, but gambles the money away in Vegas. Another vet, Perry (Bill Williams) was a boxer before the war but lost both his legs. He refuses to use his artificial legs -- until the night Cliff asks him to help get William to a hospital. Before they can get there, they get in a fight with some trouble-makers, and William is hurt badly. He recovers and determines to earn the money to buy the ranch after all. Review - Till the End of Time

All a little pat. It's like each of the characters were representatives of their particular problems more than actual people. Madison's acting was stilted (this was very early in his career). Mitchum was young but already Mitchum, although he didn't have a lot to do here. The ending was very pat, with everyone suddenly solving all their problems.
