| Description: | Basically an excuse to show popular singers, including Jerry Lee Lewis, Fats Domino, Frankie Avalon, Carl Perkins, and about a dozen more. Between the songs, there was a weak plot about two agents, formerly married to each other, who each have a singer. They decide to pair them up, especially after the two, Pete (Paul Carr) and Honey (Freda Holloway) fall in love. They become popular as America's Sweethearts. But then, for no discernible reason, Pete's agent decides to take him solo. He's a minor hit, but Honey flops as a solo performer. The agents realize they've made a mistake and, after the expected complications, get Pete and Honey back together again. |
