Description:Michael (Liam Neeson) is in Paris, trying to write a novel while having a fling with Anna (Olivia Wilde), his mistress. They keep fighting and making up, and at one point, Anna ditches Michael to have a fling with another man (who turns out to be her father0. Scott (Adrien Brody) is a shady businessman in Rome who meets Monika (Moran Atias), a mother who is trying to raise money to pay a ransom for her daughter. Julia (Mila Kunis) is a maid in New York who is trying to regain some custody rights after her son was injured while in her care. Her husband, Rick (James Franco) is determined to never let her see her son again. In the end, Anna dumps Michael because she finds out he's writing about her relationship with her father. Scott is convinced that Monika is playing him for money, but gives it to her anyway. It turns out her daughter is real, and the three of them go off together. And Julia convinces Rick to let her see their son, but by that time, she's given up hope and taken off. And then ... in a final scene, it turns out that all the stories are just in Michael's imagination as he tries to write while at the same time coping with the fact that his son died while he was on the phone with his mistress.

Review - Third Person

At some point near the end, I figured out that all the stories were just Michael's next attempt at a novel, but I didn't figure everything out — I had to look up the explanation online. I certainly didn't care enough to watch it again. While I had some sympathy and interest for the Scott/Monika story, and some sympathy for Julia, the scenes when Neeson and Wilde were on the screen were just annoying.
