Description:A gang of outlaws comes up with a clever scheme. They break a wanted man out of prison, force him to join them on some heists to raise his reward, then kill him and collect the reward. Special detective Bob Gifford (Audie Murphy) is sent to infiltrate the gang. He manages with great ease and all goes as planned. (Except for some reason, they keep Bob around even after his "reward" is raised high and after the release another prisoner.) Bob figures out that there must be someone outside the gang to organize them. He turns one of the outlaws and sends him to the sheriff for help, but the sheriff turns out to be the bad guy. He kills the outlaw and is about to kill Bob during yet another robbery when Bob's fellow agents arrive and stop the bad dudes.

Review - Gunfight at Comanche Creek

The gang's scheme was mildly clever, but Murphy played his part like he thought it was all just a bit silly. There were way too many scenes of the outlaws pointing guns at him and telling him they didn't trust him. After a while it just got dull. And to make it worse, there was a ridiculous narration throughout the whole movie, telling us what was happening on the screen and what the characters were thinking — as if the audience was too stupid to figure it out.
