Description:Not even going to try to describe this one except to say: Julie Andrews plays Lili Smith, a half-German, half-English singer who spies for Germany during WWI. She's given the task of finding secrets from a British pilot, but when he tells her about his secret mission, it turns out just to be his affair with another woman. Lili frames the other woman and ends up getting her pilot arrested too. Disgusted by the false information, the Germans decide to wipe out Lili's spy ring. The pilot stages a daring rescue and, somehow, Lili ends up as a popular singer in France again.

Review - Darling Lili

A couple ratings points for cool old cars and dogfight scenes. Andrews was absolutely unbelievable as a cold-hearted spy, and the chemistry between her and the pilot — especially during their "love" scenes — was non-existent. The whole spy plot stunk, as did most of the songs. The dogfight sub-plot was interesting. The comedy mixed throughout just felt like every other Blake Edwards movie.
