Description:Marenkov (Robert Shaw) is a Russian general with vital information on Russian war plans. He defects, but before he goes to America to tell what he knows, he wants to destroy Russia's sleeper-agent system in Europe. To do this, CIA agents take him by train across Switzerland while the bad guys repeatedly attack, including setting of an avalanche. The good guys are played by Lee Marvin, Linda Evans, Mike Connors, and Joe Namath. Maximilian Schell is the primary bad guy. Not only does Marenkov make it to the U.S., but all the Russians are killed while none of the CIA agents are (except for Namath who attacks a bad guy armed with grenades and blows up). Along the way, Marvin and Evans' character resume a previous love affair.

A of famous actors and a tried-and-true premise, but this movie is implausible, poorly edited, and boring. And that's not even mentioning the model train shots or the Swiss village that just happened to be built in a major avalanche corridor or the Russian tanker that was moored off the coast of ... Switzerland?
