| Description: | Teen comedy of sorts. High-schooler Judy (Jane Powell) is stood up by her boyfriend Oogie, so she goes the the dance with the older Stephen (Robert Stack) and thinks she's in love. At the same time, she thinks her father (Wallace Beery) is having an affair with Rosita (Carmen Miranda), when he's really just getting rumba lessons so he can dance with his wife on their anniversary. Carol (Elizabeth Taylor), Oogie's sister, feels neglected because her mother is gone and her father is too busy to ever be home. She falls for Stephen, but he thinks she's spoiled. All gets sorted out. Stephen decides he likes Carol after all, and Judy gets back together with Oogie. |
