| Description: | Sam Lowry (Jonathan Pryce) is a cog in a huge bureaucracy that is filled with offices, forms, officials, and rules. He dreams of escaping, flying off with a mysterious woman to escape it all. The government attempts to arrest Harry Tuttle (Robert De Niro), a hero who fights against the regime, but accidentally arrests and kills a Mr. Buttle. In trying to make amends for this, Sam sees Jill Layton (Kim Greist), the woman he's been dreaming about. He follows her and happens to be in the wrong place when terrorist bomb a store. Sam becomes a wanted man and is tracked down and tortured, but mentally he escapes with Jill into Utopia. |
