| Description: | Connie Brooks (Eve Arden) is hired as an English teacher at a high school. She's a good teacher, popular with her students, but her chief concern is finding a husband. Candidates are Phil (Robert Rockwell), a biology teacher, and Lawrence (Don Porter), newspaper publisher. She leans toward Phil, but he takes his time moving forward. Then Connie hears he's bought a house, not realizing it's for his mother. She makes a fool of herself and decides to leave town. But her landlady steps in and invites Phil's mother to live with her so Phil and Connie can get married. |
