Description:Bob, an American soldier, and Peter, a British soldier, are escorting Alison, a British girl through a small English town near Canterbury when someone jumps out in the dark and pours glue in Alison's hair. The three discover that it's happened to other girls, so they band up to find the culprit. After a few days of investigation and interviewing the locals, the determine that the gluer is Thomas, the local magistrate. He admits that he does it—He's an aficionado of The Canterbury Tales and think everyone else should be too. So ... to encourage soldiers to come hear his lectures instead of hanging with local girls, he glues the girl's hair to keep them home. The three investigators decide they actually like Thomas, so the don't turn him in. They travel to Canterbury where each has their own pilgrimage—Bob, who thought his girl dumped him, receives several long-lost letters from her. Peter, who trained to be an organist, gets to play the organ at the Canterbury Cathedral on the night before he ships out. And Alison, who thought her fiance was killed in the war, finds out he's still alive.

Review - A Canterbury Tale

The characters of Alison and Bob (who was played by a guy named John Sweet who wasn't an actor but just an American soldier on duty in England) were interesting. Peter was dull. Thomas was weird—so weird that it made the entire move too weird for me to like it.
