Review - Woman on the Run
If you're heavily into the mood and lighting of noir, you'll love this. If you're more into logic and story, it drags and then gets weird.

| Description: | Frank Johnson (Ross Elliot) sees a murder while out walking his dog. When the police arrive, he finds out the dead guy was a mob informant wanted by the police to testify. The police now want to hold him since he can identify the murderer. He takes off into hiding. His estranged wife, Eleanor (Ann Sheridan) goes looking for him, tailed by the cops. She's helped by reporter Dan Legget (Dennis O'Keefe) who claims to want the story but who is really the murderer. As Eleanor searches for her husband, she interviews several people he knows and realizes how much he loves her. She sees that their quarrels are her fault, and she wants to make up. It all comes to a head on a carnival pier. Dan and Frank struggle, the police kill Dan, and Eleanor and Dan get back together. |
