| Description: | The Frake family have grand adventures at the Texas State Fair. Father Abel (Tom Ewell) shows his prize hog and wins first place. Mother Melissa (Alice Faye) enters the contest for mince meat and also wins, thanks to the fact that both she and Abel spice the mix with brandy. Son Wayne (Pat Boone) enters the auto race but is more interested in Emily (Ann-Margaret). He proposes after two days, and Emily accepts at first, but has second thoughts when she decides she's not good enough for Wayne. Daughter Margy (Pamela Tiffin) meets announcer Jerry (Bobby Darin) and falls in love, even though he keeps pushing her to go further than she wants to go. She goes home disappointed, but Jerry follows her to her farm and all is well. |
