Review - Always Together
Stupid plot made worse by the fact that none of the main characters are remotely intelligent or likeable.

| Description: | Failed writer Donn Masters (Robert Hutton) lives off the small income of his fiancee, Jane Barker (Joyce Reynolds). They're big fans of movies — shortly after seeing a movie about a poor man who breaks up with his recently wealthy girlfriend because he doesn't want to live off her money, a lawyer gives Jane a check for $ one million. The check is from Jonathan Turner (Cecil Kellaway), a rich man who feels guilty because he began his wealth by stealing from Jane's father (although Jane knows nothing about this and the million is given anonymously). Turner thinks he's dying and wants to make things right. Jane hides the money from Donn, thinking that he'll leave her if he knows. But Turner gets better and wants his money back. He begins by telling Donn about the money. Donn isn't upset — he's just fine with being rich. But Turner keeps working on Jane until he convinces her that she's unhappy. She wants a divorce. Donn sues for alimony so he can have his own money so he can remarry Jane. In the end. Turner gives up trying to get his money back, and Donn and Jane stay together. |
