They lose their nanny and hire a new one for their children. For some reason, they tell her both children are Sabina's. She also gets the couples mixes up, thinking Sabrina is married to Bruce. Things get complicated when Sabina, feeling unloved and unlovely, kisses a family friend and then Bruce. Rodney storms off, and when he comes back and makes up with Sabina, the nanny catches them kissing. Then Bruce kisses Eve and is caught by Mary. They make up and the nanny catches them kissing and so leaves in a huff. The movie ends with everyone running around yelling and breaking windows and falling down stairs.

Review - Young Wives' Tale

At no point in this movie does any character do something sensible. It's nonsense, noise, and mix-up for no reason. Hepburn has a small, thankless role.
