| Description: | Santa's (Paul Giamatti) older brother Fred (Vince Vaughn) resents all the attention his brother gets. He's bitter and unsuccessful — he's a gambler with a rocky relationship with his girlfriend Wanda (Rachel Weisz). He needs money, so he calls Santa and asks him to invest in a project. Santa agrees — if Fred will come to the North Pole and work. Fred stirs things up, which isn't good because Clyde is there from the corporate office, looking to shut Christmas down. On Christmas Eve, Fred and Santa get in a fight and Santa hurts his back. The only way Christmas can happen is if Fred delivers the presents. He manages to do so with the help of Willie the Elf. Thanks to Fred, Christmas is a smash, the naughty list is eliminated for good, and Fred is a new man. He and Wanda get back together. |
