| Description: | Karen Bentley (Madeleine Carroll) is a British agent who has flight plans for American planes that are flying from L.A. to England. A group of Nazi's are chasing her through N.Y. She ducks into a theater to hide and ends up with Larry Haines (Bob Hope), a performer who does an act with a penguin. Larry can't figure out what's going on — one minute Karen is coming on to him, the next she's trying to get away. When she finally tells him who she is, he is reluctant at first but then decides to help her. The make their way across the country on planes, trains, and automobiles, with frequent run-ins with the enemy. Along the way they fall in love. Of course, in the end, they get the plans where they need to be on time and end up together. |
