Description:Jack Campbell (Nicolas Cage) is a wealthy investment banker in New York. On Christmas Eve, he meets Cash (Don Cheadle), a man who gives people opportunities. When Jack wakes up in the morning, he finds himself in bed with Kate (Tea Leoni), his college girlfriend. They stop seeing each other when Jack went off to London to be an intern even though Kate wanted him to stay. But now he's seeing what his life would have been like if he stayed — married to Kate for 13 years, a house in New Jersey, two kids, and a job at a tire store. At first he's miserable, and he only makes it through the day because his daughter thinks he's an alien that has replaced her real father and tells him what to do. Over time, he falls back in love with Kate and grows to love his life. But after a couple months, Cash shows up again and sends him back to his former life. Jack looks up Kate, who is single and about to move to Paris, and convinces her to have a cup of coffee with him. The movie ends with them chatting in an airport restaurant.

Reviews for The Family Man

Review - Familyl Man, The

The ending was lousy because it means the kids don't exist. Cage and Leoni were pretty good in their roles, although the character of Kate was a lot more excepting of Jack's weirdness when he first finds himself in his new life than any real person would be.
