| Description: | Bud Hooper (Tommy Dix) invites Lucille Ball (as herself) to the senior prom at his military high school. Ball's agent convinces her to go as a publicity stunt to restart her career. Bud lies to his girlfriend Helen that he's sick so she doesn't come. Then he sneaks Ball into the dance as Helen. But Helen shows up, there's misunderstandings, a lot of chaos, and songs by Tommy James and cast members. Bud gets in trouble, but Ball talks to the C.O. and gets him cleared. In the end, Bud graduates and makes up with Helen. Ball gets her publicity when the students rip her dress off for souvenirs and the picture makes it into the papers. |
