Description:Soldier Johnny Grey (Victor Mature) finds out that he's inherited $100,000, but he can only collect if he marries someone from the Havalok-Allen family (because of some silliness about a Civil War feud). He isn't convinced until he meets Terry (Lucille Ball), but the catch is that she's already engaged to someone else. With help from his Army friends, Johnny distracts the fiance and courts Terry until she decides to dump the other guy and marry him. There's a bit of a kerfuffle when she finds out about the will, but then she changes her mind and marries him just before he's sent off to war.

Review - Seven Days' Leave

The plot is as weak as it sounds, but the movie was enjoyable because Lucy was lovely, because part of it actually took place on the radio stage of Truth or Consequences, and because of a crazy acrobatic dance act. There were other musical numbers and a lot of slapstick along the way.
