Raft is pretty wooden. The plot was OK, but skipped pretty quickly at the end, leaving some gaps.

| Description: | When Keith Vincent, a popular composer, is found dead of a bullet wound, the police rule it as a suicide. But detective Joe Warne (George Raft) doesn't think so. Vincent is a womanizer who has photos of all his conquests on his wall. Warne notices one photo is missing, so he tracks down that girl — Frances Ransom. Her alibi is squishy, but Warne finds himself attracted to her. He gets kicked off the force but keeps investigating. Ultimately, he discovers that the murderer is pianist Fingers Ford who is married to Frances' sister, Carol (Virginia Huston). Carol got involved with Vincent, so Ford killed him in revenge. |
