Pretty slow getting started, but the dream sequence had some incredible stunts and amazing special effects, especially since it was all pre-computer.

| Description: | Buster Keaton, a movie-house projectionist who aspires to be a detective, is wooing "the girl" (Kathryn McGuire). His chief rival steals a pocket watch and frames Buster, which gets him kicked out of the girl's house. He returns to the theater and runs a movie. He falls asleep and dreams himself into the movie as a hero detective who finds missing jewels and gets the girl. When he wakes up, the girl he loves comes into the theater and informs him that the know who the real thief of the watch is. Buster watches the hero on the movie with his girl and does the same with the girl he loves. |
