Review - Blues in the Night
At no point did the story seem real or plausible, and there was no real resolution — just a bunch of bums playing music on a train.

| Description: | Five guys and a girl (Priscilla Lane) join together to form a blues band. They get a gig at a gambling joint run by Del (Lloyd Nolan). Jigger, the pianist and leader of the band falls for Del's girl Kay, but she's no good and before long he leaves the band to follow her. She dumps him and he goes crazy. His band mates find him and take care of him. They go back to the gambling joint, but Kay shows up. She makes a play for Del but he rejects her, so she threatens him. He tries to kill her, but Jigger steps in and stops him. Kay grabs the gun and kills Del, then dashes off and gets killed in a car wreck. Jigger sticks with the band, which is back on the road and broke, but happy. |
